Position Overview:

We are hiring an experienced Traveling General Superintendent to oversee full-scope field operations for electrical construction projects based in and around Greensboro/Winston-Salem, NC . This role is ideal for a proactive, organized leader with experience managing multi-trade construction projects. The position requires travel to jobsites within a 4-hour radius and is structured as temp-to-perm , with a 90-day evaluation period to assess performance and long-term fit.

Key Responsibilities:

Direct and supervise day-to-day jobsite activities for commercial and industrial electrical projects. Coordinate with subcontractors, field crews, suppliers, and project managers to ensure timely project delivery. Enforce site safety standards, perform inspections, and conduct safety meetings in accordance with OSHA guidelines. Review and interpret project drawings, blueprints, and specifications. Manage schedules, track job progress, and report updates to project stakeholders. Maintain accurate daily reports, labor logs, material usage, and documentation of site activities. Lead problem-solving efforts to resolve delays, resource conflicts, and quality control issues. Conduct regular site walks and quality checks to ensure work meets required standards and timelines. Motivate and manage jobsite personnel while fostering a productive and safety-conscious work environment.

Required Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in commercial or industrial construction supervision. Strong working knowledge of electrical systems , general construction practices, and OSHA safety regulations. Proven track record as a General or Site Superintendent on electrical construction projects. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction documents, and technical specs. Skilled in jobsite coordination, scheduling, and workforce management. Effective leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Proficiency in construction software (e.g., Procore, Microsoft Project, PlanGrid) is a plus. Willingness to travel up to 4 hours from home base to jobsite. Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license required. Must pass a drug test and background screening.

Preferred Qualifications:

OSHA 30 Certification (required or ability to obtain). Electrical Journeyman or Master License (preferred but not mandatory). Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Compensation & Work Conditions:

Competitive pay up to $45/hour , based on experience. Per diem provided for travel-based assignments. Temp-to-perm structure with 90-day performance evaluation . Potential for long-term, full-time employment after evaluation period.
