JMT, is currently ranked #50 on Engineering News-Record’s list of the Top 500 Design Firms. JMT’s South Carolina Team is seeking a SC Statewide CM/CEI Manager. The SC Statewide CM/CEI Manager will be responsible for: + Establish and grow market presence in South Carolina through marketing and business development + Managing and delivering construction management and inspection contracts in their assigned areas + Maintaining/building client relationships with SCDOT and other Municipal and County clients + Construction Management /Inspection staff recruitment/retention/training + Supporting the growth of the companies Design Build and P3 services as it relates to construction management + Project QA/QC on projects in their assigned business areas. + Assist bridge/highway design disciplines with constructability questions/issues + Attend monthly Regional/Branch management meetings to report on construction management issues and opportunities + Working closely with JMT’s Corporate CM/CEI discipline leader + Coordinate strategic growth with office leaders and practice leaders + Manage financial budget for South Carolina CM/CEI and allocate resources accordingly + Lead and contribute to the production of proposals + Serve as a technical expertise resource to project managers and technical staff + Establish resources and staffing needs for South Carolina + Interview and make recommendations for hiring staff for South Carolina Required Skills + Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-production environment + Capable of building successful team relationships with foundation of trust and respect, and maintaining positive coworker relationships + Ability to motivate and inspire others + Demonstrate organized practices + Excellent written and verbal communication skills + Self-starter with full ability to operate independently with substantial autonomy + Proficient in Microsoft Office + Must successfully complete and pass JMT’s Motor Vehicle screening Required Experience + Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field from an accredited program + Professional engineer license in South Carolina or equivalent + 15+ years in the CM/CI field providing services to DOT clients + Supervisory, project management, and business development experience + Demonstrated experience leading others + Must have past construction management and inspection experience with SCDOT, FHWA or local municipalities and the ability to organize, managing people and projects and have the ability to work well independently as well as with clients, including government officials and contractors Working Conditions Work is performed within a general office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature but may require occasional standing and walking. Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. within the office environment. Travel to offices in South Carolina monthly will be required to meet with staff.
