I. Smith & Associates, Inc. (LIS) is a full-service, integrative engineering and surveying company that provides services to the public and private sectors. We are headquartered in Paris, TN, with a branch office in Nashville. We are seeking a skilled Construction Manager for highway and site construction to oversee the entire construction process, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the specified standards. Successful candidates will be within commuting distance to the Paris or Nashville office and frequent travel will be required. This position is eligible for a company provided vehicle.

Compensation:

$80,000 to $120,000 annual salary

Responsibilities:

Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of construction projects. Develop project timelines, budgets, and deliverables. Coordinating and directing field engineering and layout workers. Analyzing, managing, and mitigating risks associated with the project. Preparing internal and external reports related to job status. Must be able to manage multiple contracts and be familiar with Gant charts and CPM’s. Implement and enforce safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment. Work closely with engineers and contractors to establish the requirements for the construction. Qualifications Proficient in or ability to learn: Civil 3D Trimble Business Center Carlson Microstation Geopak Revit software. Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management with 10 years’ experience in construction field. Preference given to those with a P.E., CCM or PMP certification, and CEI experience. OSHA10 certification Background working with DOT jobs, Federal contracts, subdivision layouts, shopping centers, and multi-story structures. Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means, and methods.
