Director of Preconstruction 3.7 3.7 out of 5 stars Nashville, TN Our client, a commercial construction company, is hiring a Director of Preconstruction in Nashville, TN. This role will oversee the full project lifecycle from concept through construction, including preconstruction planning, design coordination, and construction execution.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead preconstruction efforts, including bids, proposals, and budgets Prepare and present detailed estimates and proposals Conduct quantity take-offs, cost analyses, and conceptual budgeting Collaborate with clients, design teams, and internal stakeholders Identify project risks and align plans with business goals Use construction estimating tools and adopt Lean practices to improve workflow
Qualifications:
15+ years of preconstruction experience within commercial construction Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience) Experience in healthcare/hospital construction space Strong knowledge of drawings, specs, estimating software, and field operations Excellent communication and presentation skills Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with Revit, Lens, or Destiny preferred Understanding of
MBE/WBE/SBA
requirements Must have valid driver’s license and be able to travel as needed
