POSITION
Land Acquisition Manager
THE MAJOR OBJECTIVES OR OUTCOMES TO BE ACCOMPLISHED BY THIS PERSON
Secure lot positions for the company through lot option purchases or development of raw acreage into lots to meet annual targeted home building objectives.
MOST FREQUENT AND MOST ESSENTIAL WORK ACTIVITIES
Evaluation of market trends. Review new proposals. Feasibility analysis and economic evaluation of new communities. Proforma analysis of new development opportunities. Assist in the processing of development approvals with governmental agencies. Develop and maintain relationships with developers, brokers and landowners. Attend meetings with developers/landowners, municipal utility districts and HOA meetings. Monthly/weekly project status reporting. Assist in project budgeting and review. Assist in coordination of acquisition and development financing, including development of loan packages and draw coordination.
EDUCATIONAL/TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED
Four-year degree preferred Analytical evaluation of market, analytical evaluation of development costs and installation and knowledge on financial structuring of projects. Computer, negotiating and verbal skills are required.
