Job Summary

What you will do
Provides strong leadership to construction team members, capitalizing on individual and group strengths, to ensure project targets are achieved.
Leads project meetings with internal and external stakeholders to monitor and support the project’s ongoing progression.
Develops and maintains budgets and schedules for capital projects. Reports regularly to management on the progress and costs of projects.
Monitors MNPS various Storm Water systems for compliance to ensure any issues are corrected and annual compliance reports are submitted as required.
Supervises the Roofing Asset Manager and ensures all roofing and waterproofing systems are maintained.
Supervises the warehouse workers and oversees all inventory for the Department.
Coordinates with the State and Metro Fire Marshal on any fire issues and ensures all problems are resolved. Takes charge of all Emergencies due to weather and directs all repairs through response teams.
Establishes and maintains working relationships with others. Organizes and prioritizes/manages workflow. Oversees all volunteer projects.
Education Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree In engineering or related field Preferred
Experience Qualifications
Must have experience supervising the work of others and/or work teams Required
Skills and Abilities
Must have working knowledge of standard practices, tools and equipment of the construction trade, and knowledge of applicable building codes, ADA regulations, and OSHA requirements.
Licenses and Certifications
Requires valid Tennessee Driver’s License Required

Starting At:

$94,894.63
Salaries are determined by factors relevant to the position which may include education, experience, and other qualifications. Final compensation decisions are made at the discretion of MNPS in alignment with organizational policies and procedures. The stated salary range for certificated teaching positions is calculated based on 201 days and should be viewed as a reference. All provided salary ranges serve as a general guideline.
