The company provides all types of maintenance and repair, including painting, roofing, carpentry, siding, and fire restoration. The company’s major customers include REITs and other well established owners of multi-family housing developments. The company has created a strong reputation in the market place for providing quality workmanship and reliability. We are seeking a Construction Superintendent, to be based in Nashville, TN. Purpose :

The Construction Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations and onsite management of all projects. This includes the ordering, coordination and scheduling of supplies, materials, subcontractors, etc. Essential Job Responsibilities

  • : • Oversees the day-to-day onsite construction process from post-sale turnover meeting through project closeout.
  • Obtains the appropriate permits and licenses as required by local authoritative agencies and provinces.
  • Creates, completes, and obtains the appropriate approval signatures on SOVs, submittals, purchase orders, work orders, change orders, Certificate of Substantial Completion, punch list, Certificate of Completion, as well as Cost to Complete following standard operating procedures as defined by Ci Leadership Team.
  • Participates in Work In Progress (WIP) review meetings including updating dates, incurred costs, completion dates, etc. in preparation for these meetings.
  • Frequently communicates project progress updates, issues/concerns, subcontractor and/or customer issues with the project team including Account Manager Construction Manager, and Business Development Manager.
  • Completes final walks and punch lists in conjunction with the property owner or designee.
  • Focuses on site safety including assessing risks to employees, subcontractors, customers, and/or tenants. Takes actions necessary to ensure that safety is a high priority on the jobsite.
  • Ensures that company standard operating procedures are followed consistently within team.
  • Provides superior customer service both internally and externally.
  • Performs additional duties as needed and as assigned by direct supervisor and/or management.
Qualifications :
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Associate’s Degree in Construction Management or equivalent preferred
  • OSHA 10 Certificate required or willingness to obtain within first 90 days in position
  • OSHA 30 Certificate preferred
  • Previous experience in carpentry, roofing, painting, siding or other relevant construction experience required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
  • Ability to accurately interpret the scope, specifications (including blueprints) and timeliness of customer plans, while obtaining the desired level of profit to the company
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the project site in all types of weather conditions
  • Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
