Substation Foreman 3.2 3.2 out of 5 stars Nashville, TN 37203 FB Timberline is seeking an experienced Substation Foreman (full-time, permanent) to support operations in North and South Carolina. This job will be based out of Morganton, North Carolina with orientation in Wilson, North Carolina. The Substation Foreman is primarily responsible for supervising a crew of substation technicians and maintaining work sequences to meet the construction schedules for given projects. This role requires the candidate to have prior construction experience, specifically with concrete foundations. Key Roles & Responsibilities:
Ability to manage and maintain assigned substation crew Works to establish, adjust, and maintain work sequences to meet the construction schedule for a given project Reads and interprets blueprint specifications, contract documents, and plans Analyzes and quickly resolves any work problems that may arise and ensures that all deficiencies on any given project are corrected in a timely manner Leads by example, sets, monitors, and enforces the standards of FB Timberlines safety expectations Coordinates with all other crafts working on a job site to ensure smooth transitions Perform other tasks related to this function as assigned What we are looking for: Minimum four (4) years of experience in powerline construction, is required Experience installing, maintaining, and repairing powerline or substation equipment, foundations, and structures (brownfield & greenfield), is required Demonstrated experience with reading and interpreting blueprints, building plans and installation manuals to determine material requirements and installation procedures Ability to lead, instruct, and train workers Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel Able and willing to Able and willing to undergo pre-access screening as required per site and present a valid
