Job Description

Project Superintendent –

Commercial & Industrial Construction Location:

Tennessee | Regional Travel Required A long-established, employee-owned general contractor with a strong reputation in industrial and commercial construction is seeking an experienced Project Superintendent to join their team in Tennessee. This role is key to delivering complex, high-value projects on time, on budget, and to spec. Projects typically include manufacturing plants, distribution centres, and commercial facilities, ranging from $5M to $50M+.

Responsibilities:

Lead all on-site construction activities from mobilisation through to completion Coordinate subcontractors, material deliveries, site logistics, and daily operations Ensure strict adherence to safety procedures, quality standards, and project timelines Work closely with Project Managers, design teams, and clients throughout the project lifecycle Review construction documents and identify issues before they impact cost or schedule Maintain project schedules and report weekly updates Mentor and supervise assistant superintendents, foremen, and other field staff Participate in regular project meetings and client updates

Requirements:

Minimum 10 years of experience in commercial construction, including 5 years in a superintendent or equivalent field leadership role Proven track record managing ground-up projects independently Solid understanding of MEP systems, construction drawings, and field coordination Proficiency with construction software such as Procore, Bluebeam, and scheduling tools Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Valid driver’s license and OSHA 10 certification Must be able to travel to project sites within a 100-mile radius

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field Current first aid/CPR certification Experience working in an employee-owned (ESOP) environment What’s on
