Commercial Construction Project Manager Confidential Chattanooga, TN Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Commercial Construction Project Manager to oversee a variety of construction projects from start to finish. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and a deep understanding of construction processes. The ideal candidate will manage timelines, budgets, subcontractors, and client relationships to deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget.

Responsibilities:

Plan, coordinate, and manage all phases of commercial construction projects. Develop project scopes, budgets, schedules, and work plans. Lead and direct project teams including subcontractors, suppliers, and internal staff. Ensure projects comply with safety, quality, and legal standards. Manage and mitigate project risks and resolve issues as they arise. Monitor project progress and adjust plans as needed to meet deadlines. Prepare and present regular project updates to stakeholders. Oversee procurement of materials and ensure timely delivery. Review and approve project-related documents such as contracts, change orders, and invoices. Foster positive client relationships and serve as the primary point of contact. Conduct site visits to monitor work and ensure standards are met. Close out projects with thorough documentation and final inspections.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field (preferred). 5+ years of experience managing commercial construction projects. Strong knowledge of construction processes, building codes, and safety regulations. Proficient in construction management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam) and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent organizational, time-management, and communication skills. Ability to lead and motivate project teams. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. PMP or other relevant certifications (a plus).

Working Conditions:

Primarily office-based with frequent site visits. May require travel to multiple project locations. Ability to work extended hours as needed to meet project deadlines.
