Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Team Lead to oversee and execute site development and utility installation of mobile home pads. The ideal candidate will possess a understanding of civil construction practices, hands-on operational expertise with various equipment, and a commitment to safety and quality. This role requires excellent leadership skills to guide a small team and ensure projects are completed on time and within specifications.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise a small team in the successful completion of site development tasks of mobile home pads.
- Interpret site plans and blueprints to accurately lay out mobile home pads, including proper grading and drainage.
- Oversee and actively participate in the installation of concrete footers and perimeter footers, ensuring adherence to structural specifications.
- Manage and perform the installation of water and sewer lines, including trenching, pipe laying, and connection.
- Operate heavy equipment proficiently, including but not limited to: Skid Steer, Mini Excavator, and Dump Truck
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company safety protocols.
- Conduct daily safety briefings and ensure team adherence to personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement solutions to maintain project timelines.
- Coordinate with project managers, inspectors, and other trades as necessary.
- Train and mentor team members on best practices and safe operating procedures.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment and report any necessary repairs.
- Maintain accurate daily logs and project documentation.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 years of experience in civil construction or site development.
- Minimum of 1 year experience with a valid CDL Class A or B license.
- Proven experience in building mobile home pads, including site layout and grading.
- Demonstrated expertise in installing footers and perimeter footers.
- Practical knowledge of water and sewer line installation techniques.
- Proficient in operating a skid steer, mini excavator, and dump truck.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges.
- Commitment to safety and a thorough understanding of OSHA regulations.
- Ability to work effectively in varying weather conditions and lift heavy objects.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Construction-related certifications or vocational training a plus.
