Placement/PREA Coordinator General Responsibilities:
To provide daily care of the residents in the facility, following all criteria set by the PREA standards, State Manual, and Director of Treatment. Assist the Security Supervisor with the implementation of the rules and policies set by the State of Tennessee.
Duties:
1. Assist PREA Coordinator with intake on new residents. This person administers the Assessment, Checklist, and Protocol for Behavior and Risk for Victimization Screenings on all residents entering the facility within 72 hours of their arrival and according to PREA standard 115.341. This person is responsible for completing re-assessments as necessary and initiating the “At Risk Protocol” if needed. 2. This person works in correlation with the counselors to assist in implementing and/or providing any new PREA material that becomes available to the residents. 3. Implementing and/or providing any new PREA material that becomes available to staff. 4. Participate in the handling and reporting of crisis situations. 5. Establish a good rapport with the residents and teach Independent Living Skills. 6. Demonstrate competence in cultural knowledge, awareness, and sensitivity. 7. Maintain knowledge of community resources. 8. Maintain discipline following State guidelines. 9. Monitor residents for a safe environment at the facility. 10. Follow all applicable Policies and Procedures of Wayne Halfway House, Inc. 11. Participate in the PQI program as requested. 12. This person is responsible for entering SIR’s into TFACTS for facility residents. 13. Perform any other job-related duties as assigned by the Director of Treatment or Security Supervisor. 17. Handles resident of the month ballots. 18. Review placement packets for accuracy and determine best placement options.
Qualifications and Experience:
An Incident Reporting Mgr./PREA Coord. must be 19 years of age with at least a High School Diploma. A college degree is preferred. Computer experience with Word, Microsoft Excel and creating spreadsheets is required. Must have experience in reconciliation of checking and savings accounts. This person should have at least 1 year of experience working in Children’s Services. This person can have
