Position Overview
The Project Manager leads all aspects of assigned asphalt and concrete construction projects, managing budgets, schedules, quality, and team performance. You’ll work alongside leadership, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and at the highest possible standard.
This role is designed for a builder and a leader mentality—someone who takes initiative, solves problems, and contributes to growing both the company and the team around them. Answering the phone is a must!
What you’ll be doing:
Help manage P&L responsibility for assigned projects, reporting directly to the President and ownership group
Lead project setup during preconstruction, including budgets, phase codes, SOVs, submittals, and time coding strategies
Coordinate and update project schedules from inception through completion, issuing weekly updates and working around field conditions
Oversee and manage RFIs, submittals, trade startup meetings, coordination meetings, and change orders
Price scope changes, manage contract modifications, and maintain up-to-date drawings and project documentation
Enforce quality and safety standards, ensuring compliance with HC protocols and OSHA regulations
Drive weekly cost and performance meetings; track labor and production data with field teams to proactively address issues
Lead the monthly project financial forecasting process to maintain accuracy and accountability
Ensure timely and complete closeout of all project documentation and client deliverables
Manage multiple projects at varying stages, contributing to overall team capacity planning
Build strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and general contractors—serving as the primary company liaison
Participate in continuous improvement efforts to help streamline and scale internal processes
What you’ll need:
5+ years of self-perform commercial asphalt/concrete project management experience
6+ years construction experience preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, construction management software, and document control systems
Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to manage both people and process
Highly organized with attention to detail, cost control, and schedule integrity
Ability to lead a team while maintaining clear and proactive communication with executive leadership
A proactive problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced, team-first environment
