CHIEF (SITE SUPERVISOR) Position Available In Shelby, Tennessee

Job Description:

NVE Inc. is seeking a Chief (Site Supervisor) in support of anoperations and maintenance (O&M) contract in Memphis, TN. TheChief shall be on-site from 7:00am to 4:00pm, Monday-Friday and atany other times required to effectively manage all contract work.

Candidate shall be journeyman level capable of operating thechiller and boiler plant and associated equipment, as well asknowledgeable in electrical systems. Shall be responsible formaking all critical decisions for contract operations in theabsence of the Project Manager. As a minimum, the Chief shallpossess at least four (4) years of recent experience (within thepast 7 years) in operating and maintaining facilities and as asupervisor directing personnel responsible for accomplishment ofsimilar operations, maintenance and repair work of equal or greatercomplexity than this facility (>900K SF of office and datacenter space). This includes but is not limited to experience inaccomplishing preventive maintenance management and repairs to thefollowing types of systems with similar rated capacities: UPSSystems; Large Chiller Plants; Low Pressure Boilers; Computerizedfire alarm systems; Emergency Generators; High Voltage Switchgear;Computerized Building Automation Systems.

Essential Job Functions:

Chief Engineer is responsible for determining work methods, tradetechniques, equipment and materials to be used in accomplishingassignments for personnel under their supervision. Assign work tosubordinates utilizing Computerized Maintenance Management System(CMMS) to maintain building operations Provide Quality Controlservices for the work of subordinates and subcontractors to ensuremaximum efficiency, economy, and quality of work performed Performdiagnostic and repairs on building systems Prepare work schedulesTrain, or arrange for training of employees in the propermaintenance of building systems Coordinate and schedule maintenanceand repair work on a daily basis to provide on-time delivery ofcontract requirements Experience and Qualifications Knowledge andexperience in a combination of trades/skills (i.e. electrical,HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and general building maintenance.

Experience in technical operations in facility management systemsand/or service industry to include working, coordinating,supervising, and planning mechanical/electrical maintenancefunctions. Experience with office buildings and data centerenvironments a must. Ability to read Architectural andManufacturing blueprints and generate design concepts usingavailable tools. Capable with basic office equipment to includecell phone, tablet, telephone, fax and copy scanner. Basicknowledge and use of Microsoft Suite of products including Excel,Outlook, and Word is desired. Functional knowledge of BuildingAutomation Systems and monitoring controls.
