We are looking for an experienced Construction Project Managerto plan and supervise commercial construction projects with astrong emphasis on civil and site prep from start to finish. Youwill organize and oversee construction procedures and ensure theyare completed in a timely and efficient manner. An excellentConstruction Project Manager must be well-versed in allconstruction methodologies and procedures and able to coordinate ateam of professionals of different disciplines to achieve the bestresults. The ideal candidate will have an analytical mind and greatorganizational skills. The goal will be to ensure all projects aredelivered on time according to requirements and without exceedingbudget. Responsibilities Collaborate with engineers, architectsetc. to determine the specifications of the project Negotiatecontracts with external vendors to reach profitable agreementsObtain permits and licenses from appropriate authorities Determineneeded resources (manpower, equipment and materials) from start tofinish with attention to budgetary limitations Plan allconstruction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensuredeadlines will be met Acquire equipment and material and monitorstocks to timely handle inadequacies Hire contractors and otherstaff and allocate responsibilities Supervise the work of laborers,mechanics etc. and give them guidance when needed Evaluate progressand prepare detailed reports Ensure adherence to all health andsafety standards and report issues Skills Proven experience asconstruction project manager In-depth understanding of constructionprocedures and material and project management principlesFamiliarity with quality and health and safety standards Goodknowledge of MS Office, MS Project or other scheduling softwareFamiliarity with construction/ project management softwareOutstanding communication and negotiation skills Excellentorganizational and time-management skills A team player withleadership abilities BSc/BA in engineering, building science orrelevant field PMP or equivalent certification will be an advantage
