Job Description Ox Exteriors, LLC is seeking a Construction Project Manager to oversee and coordinate construction projects in Chattanooga, TN. This role involves managing contractors, organizing schedules, tracking inventory, and ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Project Coordination:
Plan and manage schedules for contractors and subcontractors. Establish and maintain builder/contractor relationships. Provide clear direction to subcontractors while ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Material Management:
Order and manage materials and equipment required for projects. Track inventory and provide internal reporting/projections.
Project Monitoring:
Supervise project progress, ensuring timelines are met. Conduct quality reviews to ensure compliance with building codes, safety inspections, city guidelines, and local/state regulations.
Cost Estimation:
Perform tasks of a cost estimator to ensure projects remain within budget.
Team Leadership:
Manage teams effectively by encouraging collaboration, resolving conflicts, and fostering positive communication. Monitor policies for best practices in installation processes.
Problem Resolution:
Provide assistance to installers and operations managers involved in installations. Resolve field issues related to installations and educate stakeholders on personnel or installation requirements.
Requirements and Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in construction management or related field preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years in construction project management involving siding, roofing, gutters, or similar scopes of work.
Skills:
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Accurate attention to detail with goal-oriented leadership abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with project management software preferred. Ability to build solid relationships with team members, vendors, and customers while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Physical Demands:
This role is physically demanding and requires the ability to perform substantial manual labor on a daily basis. Responsibilities include lifting and carrying heavy materials, operating tools and equipment, and performing tasks that involve bending, kneeling, climbing, and standing for extended periods. The position also requires working outdoors in various weather conditions. Candidates must have the physical stamina and strength to meet the demands of a fast-paced construction environment while adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Work Environment:
This is a field-based position that requires daily on-site presence on new construction projects. This involves working outdoors in various weather conditions and overseeing all aspects of the construction process. You will collaborate directly with contractors, subcontractors, and site teams to ensure project timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met. The position demands adaptability, problem-solving skills, and a strong commitment to safety protocols to maintain a secure and efficient work environment. Frequent travel between project sites may be required. Must be able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team setting.
Compensation & Benefits:
Competitive salary: $50,000-$70,000 per year (based on experience).
