Job Description:
Eskola, LLC•The Nashville, Tennessee branch is seeking a motivated individual to join our growing team! The Superintendent will oversee production projects within our commercial roofing division, ensuring that all jobs are completed to the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance. This role requires strong oversight of roofing projects to ensure adherence to manufacturer and third-party specifications, fostering clear communication both internally and with external stakeholders. The Superintendent will also be responsible for promoting a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and professionalism.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Project Oversight & Site Management:
Supervise all on-site activities during the installation, repair, and maintenance of commercial roofing systems daily for all active jobs. Ensure roofing projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with project specifications and quality standards. Oversee roofing crews, subcontractors, and other construction workers, ensuring tasks are executed according to schedule. Coordinate with the general superintendent and project manager and team members to ensure project goals and timelines are met. Quality Control Management Ensure all roofing systems are installed per manufacturer guidelines and in compliance with all relevant building codes and safety regulations. Address any compliance or quality issues promptly, taking corrective actions as necessary to ensure project success and client satisfaction. Daily review and upload all job-site documentation and checklists to verify that proper procedures are being followed at all stages of production. Ensure and document all daily tie-ins are completed and verified. Communication & Coordination Communicate project updates, challenges, and milestones to the Production Department, ensuring all teams are aligned on project goals and progress. Maintain clear and professional communication with clients and the Production Department, ensuring their expectations are met. Safety & Risk Management Enforce adherence to all safety protocols, OSHA standards, and company policies on the job site. Conduct safety meetings with crews to review procedures and address potential hazards. Perform site inspections to mitigate risks to ensure a safe working environment. Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and that crew members are trained in safety protocols. Support Eskola’s commitment to maintaining a strong safety culture by leading by example and reinforcing safe work practices.
Material & Equipment Management:
Ensure materials, tools, and equipment are available on-site and in working order. Collaborate with Project Managers to manage inventory and monitor material usage. Ensure daily housekeeping efforts are adhered to and documented. Report any equipment issues or maintenance needs to the appropriate department.
Documentation & Reporting:
Monitor and report on project status, including scheduling, budgets, and progress, ensuring accurate and timely communication with Production Department Management. Ensure all required project documentation, including daily logs, inspection reports, and change orders, is completed accurately and submitted on time. Track and report on safety incidents, job site challenges, and other relevant metrics to Senior Management.
Client & Stakeholder Communication:
Serve as the primary point of contact on the job site for clients, subcontractors, and vendors. Ensure client expectations are met by maintaining clear, professional communication and resolving any concerns or issues promptly. Conduct periodic meetings or check-ins with clients, project managers, and other stakeholders to provide updates on project status and address any concerns.
Job Requirements and Qualifications:
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent (required). Certifications in roofing, safety, or construction management (e.g., OSHA 30-hour, Roofing Manufacturer Certifications, or equivalent) are preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of 2•4 years of experience in commercial roofing; Superintendent experience preferred. In-depth knowledge of commercial roofing systems (TPO, EPDM, PVC, BUR, metal, and steep slope systems). Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction plans, and specifications. Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to work outdoors and in various weather conditions. Physical ability to inspect and monitor work activities on rooftops, including the ability to lift heavy materials and equipment. Ability to stand, walk, and climb ladders or scaffolding for extended periods. Must be comfortable working at heights and using ladders in a variety of job site conditions.

Material & Equipment Housekeeping Ensure materials, tools, and equipment are available and in good condition. Collaborate with project managers to monitor inventory and material usage. Verify daily housekeeping efforts and document accordingly. Report equipment issues or maintenance needs. Reporting & Documentation Report on project status (schedules, budgets, progress). Ensure daily logs, inspection reports, and change orders are completed and submitted. Track and report safety incidents and other job site challenges. Time Allocation for Multiple Jobs Ensure that equal time is spent on average at all active job sites, for example 3 jobs, spend 2-3 hours at each daily unless noted.
