Job Summary ETSU Capital Planning is looking for a Design and Construction Coordinator. This position is responsible for project development and construction management of multiple state and local construction and renovation projects to ensure the fulfillment of contract requirements and the expectations and needs of East Tennessee State University, Office of the State Architect, and Tennessee Higher Education Commission and assisting with design and program development as needed. A background check is required for this position. Facilities employees may be required to report at their regularly scheduled times during emergency closures or during inclement weather to perform essential functions including snow removal duties. Ability to communicate effectively.
Ability to visualize and design construction and renovation projects.
Ability to take a construction/renovation project from concept to completion.
Ability to schedule projects with a computer-based program. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Interior Architecture or related field. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of AutoCad and Revit.
Ability to produce design documents with CAD.
