Job Description
Construction Superintendent Steelhead Building Group Brentwood, TN 37027 Steelhead Building Group is seeking to add an experienced Superintendent to our team. We are looking for a motivated individual with at least 5 years’ experience as a lead Superintendent in the commercial construction sector. The Superintendent must possess a strong work ethic with a proven track record for delivering high quality projects in both the new construction and interior buildout markets. The Superintendent’s responsibility includes managing the overall day-to-day supervision of field related construction activities. Project types include office, retail, financial, healthcare, entertainment, institutional, and warehousing.
Responsibilities include:
Directing trade personnel and subcontractors Scheduling and sequencing all onsite work Monitor compliance with the design specifications Proactively anticipating and solving problems Managing inspection processes Implementation and enforcement of safety policies Conducting onsite pre-con and progress meetings
Job Duties:
Ensuring that all projects are performed in accordance with contractual and quality standards Scheduling and directing the daily activities of work and taking necessary action to assure that the project objectives of cleanliness, safety, price, schedule, quality and process are met Enforcement of safety policies and procedures Maintaining clean, orderly, and well-organized jobsite standards Maintaining daily paperwork such as field reports and schedule updates Implementing incremental project schedules that make sure upcoming events are on track and are being proactively attended to Coordinate and manage all city and 3rd party inspections Conducting pre-construction, progress and other project and staff meetings
Requirements:
Must be able to manage people and have strong leadership skills Must have thorough knowledge of OSHA requirements Must be able to read and decipher construction documents Must be able to identify quality workmanship as it relates to building codes, industry standards, and contract documents Must be able to produce, maintain, and direct project schedules Must have thorough knowledge of installation and trade sequences Proficient with a laptop and
Microsoft Office Suite Qualifications and Experience:
5 years’ experience as a commercial project superintendent Experience managing project cost, developing and maintaining schedules, and owner relationships Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills Experience with both new construction and interior renovations/buildouts
