Construction Project Manager RUBICON Construction & Engineering Mount Juliet, TN 37122 • Hybrid work
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Construction Project Manager / Site Supervisor to oversee all phases of construction projects, from initial planning through completion. This hybrid role requires both strong project management capabilities and hands-on leadership on the job site to ensure work is performed safely, on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management:
Plan, schedule, and coordinate all phases of construction projects. Prepare project budgets, estimates, and schedules; track costs and timelines. Review plans, specifications, and submittals to ensure project requirements are met. Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers. Manage project documentation, including RFIs, change orders, progress reports, and punch lists.
Site Supervision:
Serve as the primary on-site leader for day-to-day operations. Ensure job site safety and enforce company policies, OSHA compliance, and other regulatory standards. Direct and supervise field crews, subcontractors, and trades. Conduct daily site inspections to monitor work quality and progress. Resolve conflicts or delays on-site quickly and effectively.
Communication & Reporting:
Conduct project meetings and maintain ongoing communication with stakeholders. Provide regular updates to ownership and clients on schedule, budget, and job status. Maintain accurate records of daily job site activities, incidents, and manpower.
Qualifications:
Proven experience (5+ years preferred) in commercial or residential construction as a Project Manager, Site Supervisor, or similar role. In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, equipment, and safety protocols. Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Proficient in project management software and tools (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, MS Project, Bluebeam). Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications. Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to job sites as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience) preferred. OSHA 30 certification preferred. Contractor’s license or familiarity with state and local building codes and permitting preferred.
Work Environment:
Combination of office and on-site work. Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Physical ability to walk/inspect active construction sites, climb ladders, and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
