Job Summary:

The Sub-Coordinator will supervise, schedule, and coordinate the work of Sub-Contractors and materials procurement. Expertise or knowledge in Flooring, Tile, Trim Carpentry & Cabinetry preferred.

Supervisory Responsibilities :

Guides, assigns, schedules, and supervises the work of sub-contractors & vendors; ensures work is completed on schedule and with quality. Approve payment for sub-contractors. Reporting on-site issues as necessary and according to company policy. Recommends needs for new/additional sub-contractors. Ensures each assigned construction trade worker follows all codes & safety standards. Duties /

Responsibilities :

Procures necessary tools, materials, and equipment to ensure assigned work can be completed Performs punch work and/or coordinates the work to be done for designated scope of work Oversees the project/work site, ensuring safety standards are followed and quality work is being performed in a timely manner. Determines project requirements, necessary procedures, materials, and appropriate trades workers based on given project specifications such as blueprints/proposal. Performs walkthroughs of project/work site to confirm availability and use of proper materials and tools; recognizes and promptly addresses issues so that work can continue on schedule. Resolves problems and coordinates activities for the job through collaboration and communication with other management or technical staff and contractors. Oversees, creates, and adheres to schedules for projects assigned. Identifies and recommends solutions for production problems as required. Performs other related duties as assigned. Abilities :

Thorough understanding of construction trades and pricing. Ability to read, understand, and adhere to budgets for scope of work. Superior organizational and problem-solving skills. Ability to analyze situations and identify ways to improve efficiency. Excellent interpersonal and management skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Thorough understanding of materials, methods, and tools used in projects. Ability to read blueprints and other reports outlining specifications. Proper use of RingCentral, Co-Construct and any other technical applications used for project communication. In GENERAL – Be able to use a computer Preferred Skills /

Abilities :

Technical knowledge and skills in specific construction trades, especially drywall patching & trim carpentry. Additional technical knowledge and skills in any construction trade are valuable to Garner Construction. Bi-lingual in English and Spanish a major plus.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent required. At least five years of related experience preferred, on the job training available.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to traverse worksite in different types of weather and bend, climb, stretch, reach, and lean to make inspections. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times or 100 pounds occasionally. Travel to job sites is required.
