We are seeking a skilled and experienced 55-Ton Rough Terrain Crane Operator to safely and efficiently operate a rough terrain crane for lifting, moving, and positioning heavy materials at construction and industrial job sites. The ideal candidate must have a strong understanding of being a crane operator, safety regulations, and load handling procedures.
Crane Operator Key Responsibilities:
Operate a 55-ton rough terrain crane to lift, move, and position materials safely and accurately. Conduct pre-operation inspections and safety checks in compliance with OSHA and company regulations. Read and interpret load charts, blueprints, and work instructions to determine proper lifting techniques. Work closely with riggers, signal persons, and site supervisors to coordinate lifting operations. Follow all safety protocols and guidelines, including proper rigging and load securement. Maintain accurate logs of crane operations, maintenance, and inspections. Assist with other duties as assigned when the crane is not in operation.
Requirements:
Valid NCCCO (National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators) or equivalent certification. Minimum of 5 years of experience operating rough terrain cranes, preferably 55-ton models. Strong knowledge of load charts, rigging principles, and crane safety regulations. Ability to work in various weather conditions and physically demanding environments. Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team. Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
