We are seeking a Crane Operator with NCCER or NCCCO certification for a position in Norco, LA. This position operates an overhead crane to move objects,ponents and material. Non-exempt role; s to the Foreman; Assigned duties according to specific procedures / work is checked frequently.
Essential Qualifications:
NCCER or NCCCO certification required (small hydraulic fixed cab, large hydraulic swing cab cranes)
NCCER or NCCCO certification, rigging and signal person
Verifiable industrial experience in assembly/disassembly and operation of all four types of cranes
Selection and inspection of rigging hardware used in routine lifting such as synthetic & wire rope slings, shackles spreader bar, rolling blocks, chain hoist,e-a-longs, etc.
Working knowledge of alternative lifting/load movement methods such as gantries. jack & sliding, bull rigging, etc.
Working knowledge of proper attachment of all types of rigging hardware used in routine lifting
Knowledge and skills required for planning and executing lifts in an industrial setting and acting as Assembly/Disassembly (A/D) director for all buyer cranes
Position requires employees to have a valid TWIC card
Position requires a valid state issued Class A CDL driver’s license
Candidates must be able to pass drug test as well as a background check

Per diem and relocation are not available for this position
Must be able to operate 2.5 ton to 160 ton
Minimum 5 years of experience
Pre-employment qualification test if applicable
Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation
Job site “Personal Protective Equipment” requirements (hearing protection, safety glasses, long sleeve shirt, gloves, steel toe boots, etc.)
Applicant/employee must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others in the workplace
Functional Requirements:
Read and sign off on JSA, Operates overhead crane from a cab, Receives verbalmunication from employees w location of crane is needed to move materials throughout accessible areas, Stays awake, alert and is aware of surroundings, Uses hand levers to control functions of the crane, Performs daily inspection of the crane, s any unsatisfactory findings to the Foreman, Reads and interprets load charts, Understands hand signals formunicating with employees in the work area, Maintains a clean and safe work environment at all times, Perform additional assignments per supervisor’s direction.
Compensation
Final agreed uponpensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.
