Position Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated Crane Operator to operate cranes efficiently and safely within our shipyard. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our shipbuilding and maintenance operations by handling heavy materials and equipment with precision and care.
Responsibilities:
Operate cranes to lift, move, position, and place materials and equipment in a safe and efficient manner. Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on cranes to ensure proper functioning and identify any issues for immediate resolution. Collaborate with other team members, including riggers and signalers, to ensure smooth and coordinated lifting operations. Adhere to safety guidelines and procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a secure working environment. Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and other personnel involved in the shipyard operations. Complete necessary documentation and reports related to crane operations.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Crane Operator, preferably in a shipyard or maritime environment. Knowledge of crane safety regulations and procedures. Ability to operate various types of cranes, including mobile cranes and overhead cranes. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Physical fitness and ability to work in various weather conditions. Attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
