Work consists of site development, finish work, grading, and foundation work for future apartment and residential buildings.

PAY:

$18-$20/hour (based upon experience and equipment)

Responsibilities:

Operate overhead bridge cranes and hoists to lift and move sheet metal, duct components, and raw material throughout the fabrication shop. Load/unload steel coils, ducting assemblies, and finished HVAC products from production machines or delivery trucks. Assist in positioning heavy materials for forming, welding, punching, or shearing processes. Rig loads using slings, chains, hooks, or magnets in accordance with safety standards and material requirements. Read work orders or receive verbal instructions to determine load movement needs. Coordinate with machine operators, welders, and assembly workers to support daily production schedules. Conduct and document pre-shift crane and hoist inspections; report mechanical or safety issues immediately. Follow OSHA, shop, and manufacturer guidelines related to lifting, rigging, and equipment operation.

Qualifications:

Minimum 2 years of experience operating overhead cranes in a manufacturing or metal fabrication environment. Familiarity with HVAC ductwork materials such as galvanized sheet metal, stainless steel, and aluminum. Knowledge of proper rigging practices and safe load handling. Ability to read basic shop drawings, load charts, or job tickets. Physical ability to stand, lift, and operate machinery for extended periods. Forklift experience is a plus. Must be eligible to work in the United States Must have reliable transportation to & from the job site Position requires the use of PPE, including: Steel-Toe work boots, safety vest, hard hat, safety glasses, and gloves.
