The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of cranes and heavy machinery on construction sites, ensuring that all lifting operations are conducted safely and efficiently. This role requires a strong understanding of heavy equipment operation and the ability to work collaboratively with other construction professionals. Responsibilities Operate a 90 ton crane, to lift, move, and position materials and equipment on construction sites. Conduct pre-operational checks on cranes and other heavy machinery to ensure they are in safe working condition. Collaborate with site supervisors and other team members to plan lifts and ensure the safe execution of operations. Maintain clear communication with ground crew using hand signals or two-way radios during lifting operations. Monitor load weights and ensure compliance with safety regulations while operating heavy equipment such as backhoes, dump trucks, concrete mixers, and tankers. Perform routine maintenance on cranes and report any mechanical issues to supervisors promptly. Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to minimize risks on the job site. Experience Previous experience operating a 90 ton crane in a construction environment A valid NCCCO crane operator certification Strong understanding of construction site operations and safety regulations is essential.
