Crane Operator Position Available In Horry, South Carolina

SUMMARY Ensure you read the information regarding this opportunitythoroughly before making an application. The crane operator position is capable of running Friction LatticeBoom Crawlers, Hydraulic, and Truck cranes up to 300 ton capacity.

This marine dredging/construction position will operate the deckcrane by lifting, positioning, and setting large structures orpieces of equipment both onshore and offshore. Candidates arerequired to have basic knowledge of crane machinery in order toservice the main engine and crane machinery, such as changing oiland filters, fueling, and lubricating gears and bearings. Works ina cohesive team environment and may support other positions asrequired on the job. The position is based out of Myrtle Beach, SC and local candidatesare preferred. Projects are located in the SE and Gulf region ofthe USA. Some travel may be required for this position. Rotationswill be worked out as appropriate.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Additional duties may be assigned. Loads/unloads, moves and places objects, equipment, and materialsfrom the dredge, deck barges, trucks, etc. in support of dredgingoperations Performs daily crane, rigging, barge and associated equipmentinspections and basic maintenance on crane: changing oil andfilters, fueling, lubricating gears and bearings, etc. Assists with work on pontoon lines, submerged lines, attendingplant, anchors and spud systems Splices and repairs cables and towing ropes Maintains inventory of rigging supplies Completes inspection logs Secures mooring lines to dredge, scows, dredge tender or attendingplant Performs JSAs prior to work activity and executes workaccordingly Ensures compliance with Manson’s Code of Ethics and Standards ofBusiness Conduct. Responsible for practicing safe work standards and promoting anIncident and Injury Free (IIF) work environment as a condition ofemployment Key Safety Responsibilities Assist in the development of Work Element Plans and JSA’s. Participates in site safety and planning meetings. Participates in Near Miss reporting. Good Communication Skills. Capable or understanding plans and work layouts Good computer skills

EDUCATION, SKILL

&/or

EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma or GED Required. Some College or Vocationaleducation desired 5 to 10 years industry experience

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Must possess a National Accredited crane operator certificationsuch as NCCCO. Must have a valid driver license with acceptable driving record andreliable form of transportation.

Must be able to board, work on anddisembark floating vessels and structures, and be able to navigatestairs, ladders and gangways and the ability to work on marinevessels and to transfer from one vessel to another while atsea.
