Crane Operator North Georgia Concrete, Inc. Georgia Overview We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Crane Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in operating cranes and other heavy equipment on construction sites. This role requires mechanical knowledge and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. As a Crane Operator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient movement of materials and equipment. Responsibilities Operate various types of cranes, including tower cranes and mobile cranes, to lift, move, and position loads as required. Collaborate with site supervisors and other team members to plan lifts and ensure safety protocols are followed. Conduct pre-operation inspections on cranes and heavy equipment to ensure they are in good working condition. Maintain clear communication with ground personnel using hand signals or radio communication during lifting operations. Safely operate additional heavy equipment such as bulldozers, loaders, concrete mixers, water trucks, and dump trucks as needed. Follow all safety regulations and protocols to minimize risks on the construction site. Document daily operations, including any maintenance performed on equipment. Requirements Proven experience as a Crane Operator with a strong understanding of heavy equipment operation. Mechanical knowledge is essential for troubleshooting equipment issues. Familiarity with various types of cranes (e.g., tanker cranes, concrete mixer cranes) is preferred. Ability to operate additional construction machinery such as bulldozers, Caterpillar equipment, loaders, and dump trucks is a plus. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices on the job site. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members. Ability to work in varying weather conditions and perform physical tasks associated with crane operation.
