Crane Operator Mims Crane Service Waterloo, SC 29384 Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Crane Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of cranes on construction sites, ensuring that all lifting operations are conducted safely and efficiently. This role requires a strong understanding of heavy equipment operation and the ability to work collaboratively with other construction professionals. Must have a Class B CDL or higher, and be NCCCO certified in large hydraulic cranes. Duties Operate cranes to lift, move, and position heavy materials and equipment on construction sites. Conduct pre-operational inspections of cranes to ensure they are in safe working condition. Collaborate with site supervisors and other operators to coordinate lifting operations effectively. Follow safety protocols and guidelines to minimize risks during crane operations. Maintain accurate logs of crane operations, including hours worked and loads lifted. Assist in the training of new operators as needed. Perform routine maintenance on cranes and report any mechanical issues promptly. Skills Proficient in operating various types of cranes, including but not limited to boom trucks, hydraulic truck cranes, and rough terrain cranes. Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues with crane equipment. Strong communication skills for coordinating with team members on construction sites. Attention to detail and commitment to safety standards in all operational activities.
