Directional Drill Operator/Locator Pinpoint Locating, Inc Birmingham, AL 35201 Job Summary We are seeking experienced Directional Drill Operators and Locators proficient with Vermeer equipment in the Birmingham and Huntsville areas. Applicants must have hands-on experience operating or locating for Vermeer directional drills in utility or infrastructure projects.

• Requirements:

• Proven experience with Vermeer directional drilling rigs
• Ability to read and interpret bore plans
• Familiarity with underground utility installation
• Strong safety record and field efficiency
• CDL preferred, not required

The ideal candidate will have experience in various drilling operations and a strong understanding of construction site protocols. This role involves operating heavy machinery and performing tasks related to horizontal drilling, ensuring the efficient and safe completion of projects. Responsibilities Operate drilling equipment, including backhoes, loaders, to perform excavation tasks. Conduct horizontal drilling operations as required for various construction projects. Collaborate with team members to ensure adherence to safety regulations and project specifications. Maintain equipment by performing regular inspections and necessary repairs. Prepare construction sites by digging and paving as needed to facilitate project progress. Ensure that all work is completed efficiently while minimizing disruptions to the surrounding environment. Qualifications Proven experience in drilling operations or related construction roles. Proficiency in operating heavy machinery such as Caterpillar equipment, backhoes, loaders, and graders. Strong understanding of construction site safety practices and protocols. Ability to work effectively in a team environment while also being self-motivated. Commercial driving experience is a plus but not mandatory. Physical ability to perform manual labor and operate machinery for extended periods.
