Granie Sandblaster Southeast Monument Company Andalusia, AL 36420 Overview We are seeking a skilled Sandblaster to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in surface preparation and finishing processes, utilizing sandblasting techniques to clean, smooth, or etch surfaces. This role is essential in ensuring that materials are properly prepared for further processing or finishing. The Sandblaster will work closely with other construction professionals to deliver high-quality results on various projects. Responsibilities Operate sandblasting equipment to prepare surfaces for painting, coating, or other finishes. Assess surfaces to determine the appropriate blasting technique and materials needed. Maintain and clean sandblasting equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. Collaborate with team members on construction sites to coordinate tasks and ensure project timelines are met. Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) while working. Perform basic maintenance on tools and equipment used in the sandblasting process. Document work completed and report any issues or concerns to supervisors. Qualifications Proven experience in masonry, commercial painting, or construction painting is preferred. Basic math skills for measuring and estimating materials required for projects. Experience working on construction sites and knowledge of power tools is essential. Ability to read blueprints and follow technical specifications. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment.
