The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the construction industry, particularly in drywall installation and related tasks. This role involves working on various projects, ensuring that drywall is installed accurately and efficiently while adhering to safety standards and project specifications. Duties Install drywall sheets on walls and ceilings according to project specifications and schematics. Measure, cut, and shape drywall panels to fit around fixtures, windows, and doors. Ensure that all installations are plumb and level, maintaining high-quality workmanship. Collaborate with other construction professionals, including carpenters and metal stud framers, to complete projects effectively. Assist in fixture installation as required by the project scope. Participate in restoration projects as needed, demonstrating versatility in skills. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols and guidelines. Provide input on construction estimating for future projects based on experience and observations. Qualifications Proven experience as a Drywall Hanger or similar role within the restoration or construction industry. Proficiency in reading blueprints and schematics to understand project requirements. Familiarity with metal stud framing techniques is a plus. Knowledge of flooring installation and masonry can be beneficial for project versatility. Strong attention to detail with the ability to plumb installations accurately. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Physical stamina to perform manual labor for extended periods while adhering to safety standards.
