Description
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Foundation Waterproofer to join our Superior Insulation team!
Key responsibilities:
Apply waterproofing materials (e.g., membranes, coatings, sealants) to foundations and other below-grade surfaces.
Prepare surfaces by cleaning, patching cracks, and applying primers as needed.
Read and interpret blueprints, job specifications, and work orders.
Operate tools and equipment such as sprayers, trowels, caulking guns, and hand tools.
Install drainage systems (e.g., weeping tile, sump pumps, vapor barriers) when required.
Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality and safety standards.
Work with other construction team members and subcontractors on-site.
Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure proper handling of materials and tools.
Follow all health and safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience in waterproofing, construction, or a related field preferred.
Ability to work in various weather conditions and in confined or below-grade spaces.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Physical stamina to lift heavy materials, kneel, crouch, and stand for extended periods.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.
Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures in construction environments.
Physical Demands:
This position requires regular physical activity, including lifting and carrying materials up to 50 pounds, standing, kneeling, crouching, and working in confined spaces or below-grade areas for extended periods. The role also involves exposure to varying weather conditions and the use of hand and power tools on active construction sites.
