You will contribute to diverse construction and renovation projects, applying expertise in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, flooring installation, painting, landscaping, and general labor to deliver high-quality results. Responsibilities Install tile with precision for home renovation projects. Perform flooring installation and repairs, including hardwood, laminate, vinyl, and carpet, for construction projects. Relocate plumbing components (e.g., pipes, fixtures, drains) in compliance with local codes. Relocate electrical components (e.g., outlets, wiring, lighting fixtures) adhering to NEC standards. Execute general carpentry tasks, such as framing walls, installing trim, or constructing structures (e.g., decks, partitions). Apply painting and spackling for high-quality interior and exterior finishes. Repair concrete surfaces, such as patching driveways or walkways. Complete basic landscaping tasks, such as grading or installing garden borders. Perform general labor tasks, including accurate measurements with a tape measure and drawing straight lines for precise construction work (e.g., painting, carpentry layout). Maintain a clean and organized worksite, ensuring tools are cleaned and stored properly. Communicate with clients in a clear, professional, and respectful manner, avoiding slang (e.g., “yo,” “word”). Collaborate with the construction team to meet project deadlines and quality standards. Qualifications Proven experience in general home improvement and home renovation, with proficiency in: Tile work and flooring installation (hardwood, laminate, vinyl, carpet). Relocating plumbing components (e.g., moving pipes or fixtures). Relocating electrical components (e.g., moving outlets or wiring). General carpentry (e.g., framing, trim work, building structures). Painting, spackling, concrete repair, and basic landscaping (e.g., grading, border installation). Ability to use a tape measure accurately and draw straight lines for precise skilled trades tasks (e.g., painting, carpentry). Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in a construction team. Exceptional resourcefulness, with the ability to “McGyver” innovative solutions for home improvement tasks using limited resources (e.g., rerouting a pipe, relocating an outlet, or improvising a carpentry fix). Commitment to maintaining a clean and organized worksite, with thorough tool cleaning and proper storage.
