Skilled Painter/Drywall Finisher Piper Enterprises Johnson City, TN 37604 Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Painter & Drywall Finisher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in painting, drywall installation and finishing, with a strong understanding of various techniques and tools used in the trade. This role involves working on both residential remodeling & insurance renovation work, ensuring high-quality finishes that meet industry standards. The Painter & Drywall Finisher will collaborate with other construction professionals to deliver exceptional results on time. Responsibilities Apply finishing materials to drywall surfaces, including taping, mudding, and sanding to achieve a smooth finish. Use power tools and hand tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and installing drywall. Perform caulking tasks as needed to ensure seamless transitions between surfaces. Assist in the renovation and remodeling of spaces by restoring or replacing damaged drywall. Collaborate with frame carpentry teams to ensure proper alignment and installation of drywall panels. Paint drywall, trim & other installations completed by finish carpenters. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate project timelines and requirements. Qualifications Proven experience as a Painter or Drywall Finisher in a similar role within the construction industry. 3-5 years experience at minimum. The ideal candidate will be more than competent as a painter and finisher. Experience as either/or will be considered. Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools related to drywall installation and finishing. Knowledge of color theory as it applies to finishing techniques is a plus. Familiarity with caulking and other restoration processes is desirable. Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce high-quality work consistently. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Physical stamina and strength to perform tasks that may involve lifting heavy materials or standing for extended periods. Pay rate is negotiable and we are willing to pay more than the posted rates for a true professional if a portfolio and references are provided.
