As a Skilled Electrician (Electrician A), you will be a member ofthe department’s operating team and will be responsible foroperating/using complex electrical tools, troubleshooting, andrepairing equipment. For External Hires:
$1500 Sign-on bonus paid out in two incrementsas follows: $750 paid out at 30 days, $750 paid out at 90 days. Starting pay rate is $41.42 an hour! At 6 months of employment youwill you get a pay increase and after a year and a half you will beat top pay rate which is $43.83 an hour. You will have the opportunity to: Install, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical systems andequipment. Work from circuit diagrams and SOP’s, when available, andrecommends alterations to Lead Electrician or other appropriatedepartmental personnel. May be asked to assume duties of Lead Electrician when absent. Recognize operational irregularities on equipment of processes,accurately determines the cause and takes appropriate correctiveactions. Assist Lead Electrician with providing training to otherdepartmental personnel/apprentices/co-ops/2YD.
REQUIREMENTS
Must have a High School Diploma or GED. 2-year degree in electrical controls or electronics. Must have 2 years of Industrial Electrician experience. Must have completed at least five years of industrial electricalmaintenance work or relevant military experience. A completed approved four-year apprentice program will also beconsidered. Shift work is mandatory.
