The Boeing Company Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Mid-Level or Senior Product Repair / Mod Technician to join the International Space Station (ISS) team in Kennedy Space Center, FL. Mod Technicians Position Responsibilities:

Disassembles systems components to support the correction of failures or implement changes Performs routine troubleshooting of electrical systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components Performs validation/verification testing of systems and components Inspects component before installation or usage to verify cleanliness and serviceability of components Fabricates and modifies aerospace products according to specifications Performs tasks associated with the safe handling of an aerospace vehicle (e.g. jacking, towing, system operations) Works under general supervision Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): 3+ years’ experience working with Digital Volt Meters (DVM), Oscilloscopes, AC/DC Power supplies, Frequency Generators, and/or Power Meters 3+ years’ experience interpreting and reading electrical blueprints 3+ years’ experience in electronics or electrical troubleshooting 3+ years’ experience with soldering 3+ years’ experience with electrical/electronic troubleshooting, routing, splicing, connectors, bundle dressing, etc 3+ years’ experience as a mechanic working with structural, mechanical, electrical, or other systems Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Associates degree in electronics, science or in a general technical field Experience performing bench testing of Avionic and Electrical commercial/space aircraft components Experience constructing wire harnesses and panels by cutting, sorting, color-coding, measuring, stripping, crimping, soldering, and routing various lengths, types, and gauges of wire, heat-shrink, and other related materials Familiar in the use of Electronic Work Order / Planning systems

Work Location:

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

NASA Access:

This position requires the ability to obtain access to a National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) facility

Travel:

Position may require travel up to 10% of the time.

USD $59,500 – $80,500 Senior Summary pay range: USD $70,550 – $95,450
