Position Summary:

We’re hiring an experienced Residential & Commercial Electrician who is capable of running jobs, solving problems independently, and delivering clean, code-compliant work. This role is ideal for someone who can transition seamlessly between residential and commercial projects, communicate well with clients and team members, and consistently show up with a strong work ethic and positive attitude. ⸻

Key Responsibilities:

Install, maintain, and troubleshoot wiring, panels, circuits, lighting, and devices in both residential and commercial settings Interpret blueprints, drawings, and electrical code specifications Lead small to mid-sized projects and coordinate with general contractors or homeowners Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with NEC and Florida building codes Perform inspections and diagnose issues with electrical systems or components Work independently or with a team to meet project deadlines Maintain clean job sites and represent AD Hughes Electric with professionalism ⸻

Requirements:

Minimum 5 years of experience in residential and commercial electrical work Strong knowledge of NEC, Florida building codes, and industry best practices Valid Florida driver’s license with clean driving record Ability to read and interpret blueprints and wiring schematics Proficient with electrical tools and diagnostic/test equipment Physically able to work in attics, crawl spaces, ladders, and lift up to 50 lbs Must have own basic hand tools (specialty tools provided if needed) Strong communication skills and a commitment to customer satisfaction ⸻

Preferred Qualifications:

Florida Journeyman or Master Electrician License (not required but a plus) OSHA 10 or 30 Certification Low-voltage and smart home experience is a bonus Experience with service upgrades and panel changes ⸻
