Position Description

ENTRY SALARY

$63,947.86
Under limited direction, the Electrical Supervisor oversees, supervises, and monitors the maintenance, repairs, modifications, and general care for all electrical systems, circuits, andponents.
This position will use work order management software and data analytics tools for tracking performance and maintenance.
Duties and Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

— Essential functions, as defined under the Americans with Disabilities Act, may include any of the following representative duties, knowledge, and skills. Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Supervise the maintenance, modification, and repair work performed on all electrical systems, equipment,ponents, and fixtures within the City municipal buildings, facilities, parks, sportsplexes, andmon areas; ensures functionality and operation for public usage.
Monitors employees and documents time,pleted work orders, and assignments; prioritizes and assigns work for employees and coordinates activities with other departments.
Assists and troubleshoots the installation, modification, and repair of electrical circuits; repairs and replaces receptacles and lighting in office spaces, sewage, garages, exterior of buildings, parks, marinas, and bridges.
Manages electrical projects and provides research, planning, and oversight for multiple projects throughout the City; performs field work when needed.
Reads and interprets blues and designs; determines necessary work to be done and establishes a timeline forpletion; prioritizes emergent electrical issues and ensures all work ispleted or assigned; schedules staff and attends supervisor meetings; works with contactors and other staff.
Keeps, maintains, and drafts records and files on work in process and workpleted; provides detailed information on electrical work and tasks still in process; documents plan reviews, construction updates, and projectpletion.
Works, engages, andmunicates with other contractors performing general and specialized work throughout the city; assists and supports other contractors in maintenance and electrical repair; procures equipment and materials toplete jobs.
Assists and supports management with budget preparation, development, and implementation; provides training and education for new staff engaged in electrical maintenance and repair.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications

Licenses, Certifications, and Equipment:

A valid State driver’s license is required.
Master Electrician’s Certificate issued by the State of Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR) or the Pinellas County Construction Licensing Board (PCCLB) is required.
This position is required to operate the below equipment, machines, tools, and other work aides:
Computer, telephone, handheld radio, blues, various hand tools, electrical meters (amp meters, meggars, ohmmeters, voltmeters, and other related electrical meters), chop saw, drill motors, hammer drills, shovel, pick, hand wrenches, crane truck, and other equipment as assigned.

Education and Experience:

High School Diploma, High School Equivalency Diploma or G.E.D. Certificate AND six (6) months of vocational training PLUS five (5) years of skilled experience in varied constructions, installation, modification, maintenance and repair, including at least one (1) year of supervisory experience as a crew leader, lead worker or other semi-supervisory capacity; OR an equivalentbination of education, training, and experience may be considered.
