Residential Service Electrician General Definition:

The Residential Service Electrician manages, inspects and executes electrical solutions within home properties.

Job Responsibility List:

1. Problem-solving and critical thinking skills to troubleshoot electrical issues and locate the source of a reported problem, identify repair options and execute the appropriate solution. 2. Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing electrical issues such as faulty wiring, malfunctioning circuits and equipment failure. 3. Inspecting components, including wiring and electrical products, to ensure they’re safe and within the required code. 4. Repairing electrical wiring and components. 5. Installing electrical wiring to ensure electrical systems. 6. Upgrading existing electrical systems to enhance performance, reduce utility costs and ensure safety. 7. Ability to read blueprints to understand a structure’s electrical set up. 8. Attention to detail. 9. Excellent customer service and communication skills with the ability to answer questions and provide helpful and friendly service to clients without assistance. 10. Organized and accurate record keeping.

Qualifications & Requirements:

1. Electrician Journeyman License Certification preferred. 2. Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Office 365 applications. 3. Government documents, employment status, driving record and background check in good standing. 4. Attention to detail skills. 5. Teamwork and communication/writing skills. 6. Problem solving skills. 7. High School Diploma/GED. •Cross department training and task management/duties are common and may be required as deemed necessary and contribute to the overall collaboration and teamwork of the company. •Employee is not limited to only above scope but must be flexible to amendments or current day needs as necessary for completion of tasks that lay outside ‘typical’ scopes and bounds as described above. •
