LOCATION Camachee Cove Yacht Harbor HOURS Full-time:

Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM PAY $18.00 – $20.00 per hour, depending on experience

JOB SUMMARY

The Maintenance employee is responsible for the maintenance and repair of buildings, docks, and equipment. Duties and Responsibilities Performs light electrical work to include the installation of power pedestals and other light electrical equipment, and changing fuses and breakers, light bulbs, and photocells. Performs light plumbing work to include toilet repairs, clogged sinks and drains, dockside water line maintenance. Performs carpentry work such as building shelves, baseboards, walls and repairing doors. Performs drywall, painting, concrete, and masonry work. Performs dock repairs including replacing and repairing whaler boards, through rods and hardware, angle brackets, plumbing and electrical. Maintains and delegates routine maintenance schedule. Immediately notifies supervisor of jobs beyond scope of capability. Maintains assigned company vehicle and tools properly. Responds to and immediately reports any safety hazards pertaining to a company vehicle. Ensures that all buildings, commercial rentals, and equipment are left in a safe, clean, and orderly condition. Ensures that all commercial rentals are secured and locked after work for day is finished. Responsible for safety and security of all customer keys. Follows property rules and regulations and always respects the customer and coworkers’ property. Adheres to all safety policies and procedures per company policy and immediately reports any incidents to supervisor. Performs other duties assigned by supervisor or general manager. Knowledge, Skills, and Requirements Two years of previous experience in maintenance and repair, electrical wiring, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and ground maintenance. Ability to stand for most of the workday and work comfortably outdoors. Ability to lift 50 pounds. Unlimited or unimpaired ability to walk, bend, stoop, climb, routinely work safely on a 34-foot extension ladder or in confined spaces, lift, carry, reach/extend arms, and hands above shoulder height, or otherwise move in a constantly changing environment. Previous marina operations preferred, including boat lifting, handling, and towing, knowledge of nautical terminology, and plant and equipment maintenance including lawn mower operation and hand and power tools. Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with coworkers and customers. Ability to organize and prioritize work, coordinating several projects simultaneously. Must have a flexible schedule to include working on-call, weekends, overtime, and holidays. Must have a valid driver’s license. Ability to provide clear and concise instructions in English, both verbally and in writing. Basic math computation skills required. Must be at least age 16 years old. Eligible candidates must pass a pre-employment drug test as part of our Drug Free Workplace Program (DFWP) and background check screening.
