POSITION OVERVIEW
The Electrical Technician III is responsible for performing intermediate-to-advanced level electrical tasks with minimal supervision. This role requires a solid working knowledge of electrical systems, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team on installation, maintenance, and repair projects.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform advanced troubleshooting, diagnostics, repairs, and installations of electrical systems across residential, commercial, or industrial settings Interpret and implement detailed electrical schematics, blueprints, and specifications with a high level of accuracy Lead small crews or work independently to manage job site tasks, ensuring timelines, safety, and quality standards are met Coordinate with project managers, general contractors, and clients to communicate job status and resolve technical issues Oversee and execute tasks such as conduit bending, panel wiring, motor control, lighting, grounding systems, and transformer installation Mentor and provide technical guidance to Level I and II technicians, apprentices, and helpers Ensure strict compliance with
NEC, OSHA
standards, and company policies on every project Complete accurate job documentation including material tracking, daily logs, and test results
ACCOUNTABILITIES
Complete advanced electrical tasks and ensure project milestones are met while overseeing junior team members Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) to minimize risk and maintain a safe job site Train and support less experienced technicians and apprentices in best practices and company procedures
ORGANIZATIONAL ALIGNMENT
This position reports to the local Project Manager and is responsible for engaging with the install team and all of our customers.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or GED required. Minimum of 5-7 years of electrical experience in commercial, industrial, or mixed-use environments Completion of an electrical apprenticeship or technical training program In-depth knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC), Georgia electrical regulations, and OSHA standards Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints, one-line diagrams, and schematics. Strong experience with motor controls, switchgear, conduit installation, grounding systems, and troubleshooting OSHA 30 certification strongly preferred Valid driver’s license and clean driving record Ability to pass background check and drug screening

Reads and comprehends complex diagrams, specifications, and work instructions. Mathematical Skills Strong math skills, including the ability to calculate load capacities, voltage drops, and conduit fill. Capable of using formulas to determine system requirements and troubleshooting steps. Reasoning Ability Highly developed problem-solving and critical thinking abilities. Can independently assess situations, identify solutions, and make decisions under pressure. Capable of managing multiple priorities and adjusting to changing project needs. Physical Demands Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., work on ladders, scaffolding, or in confined spaces. Stamina to stand, bend, crouch, or kneel for extended periods. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, depth, and peripheral vision.
