The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in electrical systems, including the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical components in commercial settings. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical codes and safety standards, as well as the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Duties Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in commercial buildings. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine layout and installation procedures. Work with low voltage and high voltage systems, ensuring compliance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards. Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various tasks related to electrical installations. Troubleshoot electrical issues using voltmeters and logic controllers to identify problems accurately. Collaborate with other tradespeople, including handymen and carpenters, to complete projects efficiently. Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to ensure proper functioning and safety. Document work performed and maintain accurate records of materials used. Qualifications Proven experience as a Commercial Electrician or similar role in the electrical field. Strong knowledge of NEC regulations and safety practices related to electrical work. Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding technical specifications. Experience working with low voltage systems as well as high voltage installations. Familiarity with using voltmeters, logic controllers, hand tools, and power tools safely and effectively. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues. Ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team environment.
