Hormel Foods has an opening for an experienced IndustrialMaintenance Electrician. Successful candidates will work in ourfood processing production facility located in Tucker, GA, andenjoy competitive wages along with a comprehensive benefitspackage.

Job Description:

Performs all functions of the job in a safe manner and promptlyreports any unsafe behaviors to the shift supervisor. Reads and works from basic blueprints and drawings to performmaintenance and service, install and/or modify equipment. Reads wiring diagrams and sketches. Possesses sufficient knowledge for correct analysis ofmechanical/electrical difficulty and makes necessarycorrections. Assembles, dismantles and/or moves any type of equipment usingproper tools, rigging and gear. Installs and repairs electrical conduit, connections andsplices cable. Uses all types of testing equipment normally used in anindustrial setting. Diagnoses both electrical and mechanical problems and developsfastest, low cost options to fix. Is willing and able to instruct, train and direct the effortsof others. Works alone or in cooperation with others and other departmentto do any work on any plant equipment in the most time and costefficient manner. 1 Handles all maintenance requests asdirected. Performs other related duties consistent with the nature of thejob as directed by the supervisor. Willing and able to work any shift, variable start times,overtime,weekends, and holidaysas scheduled Willing and able to work on machinery at various heights Willing and able to work variable shift start.

Must be able to understand verbal and written instructions

• Musthave the ability to multi-task
• Must have strong internal andexternal customer service skills
• Must work well in teamenvironment
• Must have the ability to do basic mathematicalcalculations
• Candidates with a appropriate degree must have aminimum of 2 years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Mustbe certifiable within 90-day probationary period.
• Must be ableto complete or oversee project work or craft work when required
• Must learn new controls technologies and systems as requiredthrough out plant.

Education/Experience:

Associate or Vocational Degree (or Certificate/Diploma) or HighSchool Diploma or GED and five (5) years of industrial electricalmanufacturing experience Experience with 480VAC, 3 phase motor circuits Experience with 120VAC and 12-24DC control circuits Experience reading electrical schematics, P&ID (Process &Instrumentation Diagrams), and mechanical drawings Experience installing industrial electrical equipment

PreferredQualifications:

Experience installing, examining, replacing, and/or repairingVariable Frequency Drives (VFD) and AC/DC motor controllers Experience with installing conduit Willing and able to provide personal hand tools to include butnot limited to: wire cutters, wrenches, screwdrivers, sockets,pliers, etc.

Wages:
