The Position This position is a member of the ElectricalAssembly department. The Industrial Electrician I will reportdirectly to the Electrical Assembly Supervisor. Job DescriptionPrimary Responsibilities Use of common Trade Tools Ability to usehand tools, crimpers, strippers, nut drivers, water pump pliers,socket sets, Allen wrenches, KO sets, pneumatic and cordlessdrills, impact wrenches, Taps, soldering iron, Multi meter, tapemeasure, T-square Knowledge of Electrical Circuits Identifyparallel and series circuits understand the difference betweendigital and analog signals. Trace electrical circuits usingschematics and corresponding symbols. Electrical Control PanelConstruction Mount electrical components on subpanels andEnclosure’s according to layout drawings provided. Insure all powerdistribution circuits, motor feeds (VFD Cables) are kept out of thepath of Digital, Analog & Communication circuits. Wiring ofAutomated Industrial Machinery Mount Control Panels, JunctionBoxes, Operator Stations, I/O components. Build, run and terminatepower, motor, control and communication cables, using rigid, EMTand sealtite conduits. Strive for Bartell excellence. Increaseproduct knowledge, try new ideas and wiring techniques, and strivefor a better and/or faster way of doing a job, train on any subjectmatter listed on our competency matrix and train fellow associateson subjects you are experienced at. Miscellaneous Have a goodattitude, start work on time, work overtime, when necessary,perform good housekeeping, communicate with others, be aware ofhis/her area and other’s safety, be a good team member, work inother departments such as warehouse or assembly if requested. JobRequirements Education High school diploma or equivalent with 1-2years of verifiable experience in Electrical or Maintenance fieldsessential. Skills & Relevant Work Experience Utilizes strong oralcommunication skills often and consistently. Foster team spirit andimpart of sense of direction to all employees throughoutdepartment. This employee has experience working with a group toachieve a common goal. The key performance indicators for thisposition include: interpersonal skills: capable, conflictresolution, problem solving, decision making, and a proven trackrecord of meeting deadlines. Strong problem solving andtroubleshooting skills with ability to make some independentdecision. Think through the project, line parts up, what’s thepriority; look for things that are going to be roadblocks. Abilityto read schematics, PDF files. Use electric, pneumatic, hand toolsin the construction of control cabinets and related components.
Able to gain a good working knowledge of the subject matter set inour competency Matrix in relation to the construction of industrialmachinery. Initiative to cooperation and teamwork environment;co-workers. Fluency in English essential Knowledge of industrialmotors and controls preferred. Assembly of industrial equipmentpreferred. Machine shop knowledge preferred. Able to lift up to 50pounds.
