This job maintains the total electrical distribution system throughout the company’s facilities. Performs preventive maintenance, repairs, and troubleshoots, utilizing specialized test equipment and hand/power tools. Education Required

  • High School diploma or equivalent Preferred
  • Additional degrees, business training experience and/or certifications may be combined to meet minimum qualifications Work Experience Required
  • 2 years in commercial or light industrial experience Preferred
  • Experience in 480V to 4160 voltages Certifications Required
  • Electrical license necessary after 6 months of hire Other Required
  • Trade school training in the electrical field.

Electrical license. Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs) Knowledge of NEC (National Electrical Code). Knowledge of the State, Parish, and the Southern Building Codes. Ability to and experience with proper use all power, hand tools and specialized equipment associated with the electrical trade. Interpersonal skills. Ability to and experience with working with minimal supervision. Ability to and experience with reading, writing and understanding mechanical and electrical symbolisms to enable one to interpret blueprints, schematics, specifications and mechanical. Drawing skills in order to document electrical charges on existing prints for upgrading by CADD. Stress management skills. Ability to crawl, climb, bend, and lift 50 pounds without any restrictions. Ability to work indoors, outdoors, in restricted spaces amounting to static postures/positions which must be held for extended periods of time. Ability to work flexible schedule, such as nights, evenings, weekends, holidays, extended shifts, and take emergency calls. Job Duties Maintains and repairs complex electrical systems. Performs Preventive Maintenance and Documentation. Researches and troubleshoots problems. Performs other duties as assigned.
