PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Our program consists of 8,000 On the Job Training (OJT)hours and 824 RelatedSupplemental Instruction (RSI) or “classroom” hours. This takes 4years to complete. Our classroom instruction takesplace at Lewis-Clark State College (LCSC) two nights per week fromSeptember to April.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Applicant must meet the following requirements toqualify for an interview for
Apprenticeship:
a. Be at least eighteen (18) years of age.b. Must be a high school graduate from a school accredited by a StateEducation Agency; or have a GED; orhave completed a High School Equivalency; or have completed an associatedegree or higher from aschool accredited by a State Education Agency; and show evidence ofsuccessful completion of: 1 fullyear of high school Algebra with a passing grade of C or better.
Applicants who have not completed 1full year of high school algebra with a passing grade of C or better,may qualify under on the following:1. Equivalent post high school algebra course(s) with a grade of C orbetter.2. Current math placement results from a community college facilityindicating a placementlevel beyond high school level algebra.3. Provide certificate of completion from a committee approved onlinetech math course.c. Obtain an official copy of High School Transcripts or High SchoolEquivalency with official test results.d. Be physically and mentally able to safely perform or learn to safelyperform essential functions of the jobwith or without reasonable accommodations.e. Must be a U.S. citizen or be otherwise authorized to be employed inthe United States.f. Hold a current and valid state issued drivers license and dependablemeans of transportation to andfrom job sites in the geographical area covered by our apprenticeshipstandards.g. Be able to write and speak the English language
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
– Applicants selected for hire will be required tosubmit to the following as conditions ofemployment:1. Complete and pass a background check & urinalysis test at no cost tothe applicant.[
