One (1) year experience performing routine maintenance and determining when maintenance is needed, or comparable experience with trade school or trainingBasic mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot basic problems including knowledge of machines and tools, their designs, uses, repair, and maintenanceAbility to obtain and maintain powered industrial truck (PIT) licenseDemonstration of minimum proficiency with the English language in order to ensure effective new hire training and on-going communications about safety and quality issuesAbility to read and follow basic blueprints, manuals, and mechanic and electrical schematics, preferredIn addition to the above, Level 2 candidates must bring:
Three (3) years’ experience performing preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repair, or comparable experience with trade school or trainingSpecial knowledge in use of hand-tools andpower-toolsMechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot moderately complex problemsUnderstanding of pneumatics, hydraulics, temperature and pressure gaugesProficient in reading and following basic blueprints, manuals, and mechanic and electrical schematicsExperience operating test equipment and/or softwareWorking knowledge of automated controlsAbility to operate Powered Industrial Truck (PIT), hoists and cranes, and maintain PIT certificationLevel 3 candidates must bring:
Five (5) years’ experience performing preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repair, or comparable experience with trade school or trainingSpecial knowledge in use of hand-tools, power-tools and specialized knowledge in lock-out tabg-out (LOTO)and introductory electrical knowledge to include basic wiring principles and basic electrical troubleshootingAbility to perform root cause analysis, compare and investigate information, and recommend and implement resolutionAdvanced mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot complex problems including knowledge of machines and tools, their designs, uses, repair, and maintenanceAdvanced understanding of pneumatics, hydraulics, temperature and pressure gaugesUnderstand manufacturing processes and able to inspect and repair or replace componentsExperience using Microsoft Office, including the ability to modify basic reports, documents and spreadsheets in MS Word, and MS ExcelExperience operating test equipment and/or software
Preferred Qualifications:
Paper converting, chemical/plastics processing and/or packaging industrial experienc Vocational, Technical or Associate Degree in Machine Tool, Machine Maintenance, Industrial Electrician, Electro-Mechanics, Mechatronics Technology, Automation Controls, Robotics or related fieldExperience in electrical and mechanical trades such as
