This is a Job Description for an Electro-Mechanic (2^nd^ Shift) in Hattiesburg, MS.
Summary:
Provide required electrical/electronic and mechanical maintenance support for process machinery. Perform repairs and diagnostics to machinery, equipment and controls, as well as thermal scans and vibration analysis. Provide preventative and predictive maintenance on machinery and equipment. Responsible for DC servo motors, CNC control, and Fanuc robot maintenance and repairs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain technical competence in advancing technology. Programming knowledge of PLCs. Maintain AC/DC circuits, DC equipment and controls, single phase motors, three phase systems, power supplies and PLCs. Proficiently use tools and instrumentation. Use power tools to repair, modify and maintain production equipment. Track and record production downtime. Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems. Identify root cause analysis through collaboration with Engineering. Understanding of electrical/electronic and mechanical systems supporting process machinery and equipment. Knowledge of electrical theory, schematics, controls, HMIs, PLCs and troubleshooting. Basic programming of PLCs. Knowledge of pumps, hydraulics and electric motors and servos. Knowledge of switches, relays, photo electric sensors and lasers. Assist in resolving problems with pumps, pneumatic motors and power supplies. Demonstrate and maintain a safe and respectful workplace environment. Frequent interaction with Set-ups & Team Leads, Engineering, and EHS. Ensure applicable product compliance requirements are upheld including but not limited to the Clean Air Act, California Code of Regulation and California Health and Safety Code.
Requirements and Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED equivalent. Minimum 2 years of experience in the diagnosis and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment via competent use of equipment and procedures OR an Associate’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Electronic Technology.
