Job Description

Electrical Technology Instructor 4.4 4.4 out of 5 stars Scooba, MS 39358 JOB The instructor will be responsible for teaching assigned electrical technology related topics according to the needs of the college and industry.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Associate degree in Electrical Technology required or related degree2. Minimum of three years of relevant electrical work experience required3. Experience in Safety, Industrial Electricity, Commercial and Residential Wiring, Motor Controls, Troubleshooting and repair4. Must have a satisfactory criminal background check5. Good work ethics, excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications:

1.

Preferred skills and certifications in:
OSHA 10, ARC

Flash, WorkKeys (Minimum Silver), NCCER CORE, PLC’s and Drives, Instrumentation, robotics

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES 1.

Teaches all classes and labs as assigned;2. Develops curricula based on industry demand;3. Demonstrates the skills required to teach the Electrical Technology courses;4. Communicates with industry the goals, objectives, and expectations of the courses;5. Embeds national/industry credentials into their respective program;6. Keeps accurate records of attendance and grades and submits all reports and other informationpromptly and accurately;7. Assigns learning activities which promote understanding of the program content;8. Participates actively in professional development opportunities in the discipline;9. Recruits participants, schedules training, schedules testing, assist in internships and placement of students;10. Effectively communicates with, cooperates with and supports other college personnel in daily activities
