Position Summary
Performs work in all areas of plant as required to install and maintain electrical machinery, instrumentation, and controls in the facility. Principal Duties & Responsibilities
Performs highly skilled electrical maintenance tasks including installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical machinery, instrumentation, and controls throughout the plant. Exercises proficiency in a variety of skill areas; for example:
Installation of electrical equipment, motors, starters, conduit, wire, etc.
Repair of electrical tools and equipment, including power tools, test equipment, etc.
Troubleshooting of AC (alternating current), DC (direct current) and variable frequency drives, instruments, and control systems.
PM (preventative maintenance) DC motors and ot electro-mechanicalponents (brakes, clutches, solenoids, etc.).
Recalibrating instruments, sensors, control valves, etc.
Installation and programming of PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) and its use in troubleshooting.
Documentation of electrical systems (both hardware and software).
Maintenance of files on motor equipment and PM including drawings and schematics for permanent records.
Maintenance and troubleshooting of high and medium voltage equipment including MCC’s, transformers, switchgear, and substations.
Manufacturing of electrical control systems including panel layout, wiring, installation, etc.
Ability to program and maintain HMI’s
Assisting with mechanical maintenance activities.
Maintains acceptable levels of housekeeping in electric shop areas.
Maintains operations by reading, interpreting, and ingplex written instructions in the form of Standard Operating Procedures and ot written instructions.
Performs ot duties as may be assigned by Electrical Supervisor.
Follow CMMS procedures to report follow-up work and work found on PM’s.
Consistently practices safe working habits and actively work to promote safety to ots.
Assurepletion of work assignments when working alone or with assistance from ot mechanics. Demonstrate the ability to work independently.
Comply and understand
NFPA 70E.
Specialized/Technical Knowledge or Required Skills
High School Diploma or GED
Min 5 Years Electrical Manufacturing Experience or education/experiencebined.
Physical Requirements
Work indoors and outdoors in all weat conditions often exposed to heat, cold, inclement weat, grease, oils, dust, and dirty working conditions. Work involves standing, climbing, walking on elevated catwalks, working at heights, and lifting heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.). Must be willing to work rotating shifts.
